Andrea Reed appointed Middleton intern
Special Collections and the Digital Library welcomed Andrea Reed as a member of their staffs in January. Andrea was awarded the spring 2008 Thomas C. Middleton Villanova Digital Library and Archives Internship.
Andrea earned her master of science degree from Drexel University’s College of Information Science and Technology (IST). Andrea’s undergraduate degree, from Eastern University, was in history.
Before coming to the University, Andrea worked in the original cataloging department at Van Pelt Library at the University of Pennsylvania, where she cataloged visual and media resources. Some of her personal interests include cooking and traveling.
The internship is named in honor of Father Middleton, O.S.A., Villanova University's first librarian and archivist. A former president of the University, Father Middleton served as the first president of the American Catholic Historical Society. He was a scholar who devoted his life to the preservation of and access to books and materials documenting the heritage of Roman Catholicism.
