Hail to Our Student Employees
One of the most valuable resources a library can have is its student employees. They do everything from answering patrons’ procedural questions and shelving to scanning and digitizing. Many of these jobs can be tedious, repetitious and require a detail-oriented individual.
Coinciding with National Student Employee Appreciation Week, on April 10, the Student Employee Appreciation Committee (SEAC) of Falvey Memorial Library, on behalf of the entire staff, held a “thank you” party for its student employees in the first floor lounge.
Though the celebration honored all student employees, seniors and graduate students completing their degrees were singled out to receive certificates of appreciation and, as special parting gifts, Villanova University license plate holders.
Bill Greene, master of ceremonies, led the festivities as departmental staff members recognized and remarked on

Bharath Nadella, Systems and Technology Management, won the raffle for a $50 gift certificate to Gullifty’s Pizza Grille & Bar.
The following student employees will be graduating: Access and User Assistance -- Eric Bowes, Javier Rodriguez, Elizabeth Moseley and Alexander Zozos; Interlibrary Loan -- Carla Cruz and Katie Kent; Programming and Outreach -- Daniel Berger and Christa Schmidt; Resource Management -- Richard Sobala; Special and Digital Collections -- Scott Grapin; and Systems -- Ajit Polarouthu, Nagendra Kumar Kakani and Pavan Kumar Rao Cheeti.
The SEAC members are Mary Heyman, Joanne Quinn, Marie Roman, Phylis Wright and Bill Greene.
