Focus on Falvey’s new organizational structure: Academic Integration
Jutta Seibert is the new coordinator for Academic Integration. Falvey’s academic department liaison teams, the research support team, instructional development and collection development all fall under the umbrella of Academic Integration. Falvey has eight liaison teams that connect the Library to the different colleges, departments and programs on campus.
Jacqueline Mirabile heads the Research Support team, the former reference department, and manages Falvey’s reference collection. This team provides individual research assistance at the research support desk, currently located behind the Information Desk, via e-mail, phone, live chat or by appointment. Librarians who work at the research support desk include Michael Foight, Louise Green, Linda Hauck, Jackie Mirabile, Judy Olsen, Sue Ottignon, Dan Overfield, Bente Polites, Barbara Quintiliano and Jutta Seibert.
Barbara Quintiliano leads the Instructional Development team and assists the liaison librarians and faculty in developing library workshops for academic courses. She collaborates with the Center for Instructional Technologies (CIT) and is the library WebCT Vista Group Coordinator (VGC) for the Colleges of Nursing and Engineering. The other library VGCs are Dan Overfield (School of Business), Jutta Seibert (College of Arts & Sciences) and Merrill Stein.
Dennis Lambert steers Falvey's Resource Council, which is responsible for new acquisitions and the management of the materials budget. Each liaison team is represented on the Resource Council.
Anne Ford and Mimi Dilenge support the groups in Academic Integration in a wide variety of tasks.
