Poetry festivities: You're invited to celebrate National Poetry Month
Posters throughout Falvey’s first floor display poems submitted by students nominated for the Senior Class Poet award. The contest will be judged anonymously by a Philadelphia area poet.

Sexton; and “Hands,” by Emily Schademan.
This public poetry display commemorates April as National Poetry Month.
On Wed., April 23, at 1 p.m.in the Falvey first floor lounge, you are invited to an Open Mic poetry reading and Arthology literary journal publication celebration. Refreshments will be served. Dr. Lisa Sewell, English department, Judy Olsen, Falvey Publications and Communication Librarian, and the Falvey Outreach team helped to organize this event.
The Senior Class Poet winner, who will receive an award certificate and a $100 honorarium, will be announced on Fri., May 2 at the English department awards reception and will read from the winning poems at the College of Arts and Sciences Medallion Ceremony on Sat., May 17.
